Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window

A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The aircraft touched down based on standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a short visit to Brussels at the time.

This occurrence is not the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to return to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
