Chiefs Acknowledge Domestic Violence Claims Connected to Player the Athlete

The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night confirming they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations circulated in online accounts by a ex-partner of wide receiver the athlete and were in communication with the league office.

The team omitted the name of the player by name in their announcement and said they would have “no further comment at this time”.

The woman, who also did not mention Rice directly, shared a series of photos on Instagram that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. Jones stated the person involved was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has kids with Rice, whom the Chiefs drafted in the 2023 draft.

No official complaints were on file in the Kansas City suburb where the incident is said to have taken place.
