Barcelona to Host First Game at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
